D.R. 135 cc Cylinder for Vespa PX 80
The 135 cc cylinder from D.R. is a legend among conversion kits for the PX 80. More durable than the original, it’s the perfect touring companion. Speeds of up to 90 km/h are possible – and with the right components, even more.
Classic upgrade with touring potential
The cylinder responds well to a longer primary gear. A great match: the BGM BigBox Touring exhaust and the 24 mm carburetor from the PX 200 models. These upgrades can push the D.R. past 100 km/h. It’s a cost-effective and reliable way to give the underpowered PX 80 a new lease of life.
Setup tips, jetting & ignition for the D.R. 135
Recommended jetting (with stock or BGM BigBox Touring exhaust): 160/BE3/102 (complete jet stack). Ignition timing: 19° for stock gearing, 22° for longer gearing.
For even more power, increase compression by removing about 1.5 mm from the head’s sealing surface. After that, adjust jetting and ignition – and run on premium fuel. If installing on Elestart models, minor contact may occur – one cooling fin needs slight modification.
