The CMD Hammerhead is a cleverly designed lock holder. It is suitable for the aluminum handlebars of classic manual Vespa vehicles built from around 1965 onwards (threads were already used in the lower part of the handlebars as standard). The holder makes it very easy to secure the scooter with a solid cable lock on the handlebars.

The two-part bracket consists of :

  • 1x small mounting plate for fixed mounting on the lower part of the handlebar
  • 1x removable lock holder for clicking onto the mounting plate
  • Hole for cable feed-through: Ø23mm

MOUNTING AND FUNCTION
The small mounting plate is screwed to the M8 threads in the lower part of the handlebar (these are originally intended for mounting a mirror, so the wall thickness of the handlebar is particularly stable at this point). If required, the removable lock holder can be clicked into the small retaining plate permanently mounted on the handlebars. A cable lock can now be passed through the eyelet of the holder and placed around a lamppost or connected to another vehicle. During the ride, the 450-gram Hammerhead disappears into the bag or luggage compartment.

ADVANTAGES

  • Significantly increased security compared to the original steering lock
  • The scooter can be conveniently and easily secured while standing or sitting
  • The paint on the steering tube/fork is protected
  • It is easier to connect two scooters together
  • Ideal if there is hardly any space between the shock absorber and the steering tube
  • The helmet can be easily secured without it lying on the ground
  • Can also be used on other scooters thanks to an additionally available mounting kit
  • 450gr. light and compact

MATERIAL
The holder is made of solid, rustproof stainless steel, making it ideal for long-term lantern parkers.

FUHRPARK
The Hammerhead can be used on several vehicles thanks to an inexpensive, separately available mounting kit.

EXCEPTIONS
Not suitable for Vespa Smallframe with small round headlight (Ø=105mm, e.g. 50 L/R/S) and Vespa T5/PK XL2 and Cosa models.
These have a different mounting hole on the mirror mount. A steering head with an intact mirror mount is required.
