  • The Malossi Vespower ignition is based on the same principles as the well-known Vespatronic, Pinasco Flytech or Polini IDM. The ignition base plate does not have a pickup. Here the ignition signal is taken from the light frequency. As the engine speed increases, the ignition timing is reduced via the CDI. The engine has a high pre-ignition angle for high torque at low revs. This is reduced with increasing speed, at which the exhaust strongly supports the charge change. The light flywheel mass ensures a very dynamic throttle response and a greatly improved acceleration. The smaller fan blades fit perfectly to the higher speed level of the tuned engine where the big blades of the original fan wheel would turn empty. The ignition is also suitable for everyday use and touring engines thanks to the optionally available and adaptable flywheel rings. Here the increased flywheel mass helps the engine to run more smoothly and improved elasticity in the upper gears.
    The stiffening fins of the plastic impeller effectively prevent tearing or breaking.


    Also available as Reace version with only 900gr. flywheel mass. This can not be upgraded to more flywheel mass as it is possible with the 1200gr version.


    HINWEIS: German PX models built before 1984 (with battery), the so called PX old models with ignition lock on the steering head cover, have to be modified to use this ignition on the wiring harness.

    For this purpose it is necessary to replace the existing voltage regulator. The BGM voltage regulator (BGM6690) is ideally suited here.
