The cylinders from D.R. (Diffusione Ricambi) enjoy a very good reputation. DR has already produced powerful cylinders with a long service life at a reasonable price in the manual scooter sector. So you can almost make a blanket recommendation for the automatic range for those who want to make their scooter faster without much effort.
The DR is distinguished by a generous increase in displacement, optimized timing and, above all, larger port widths, especially the transfer ports. The DR philosophy is to give the cylinders a wide rev range with plenty of torque from the lower rev range. This also makes the DRs interesting for those who don't like tuning, as they don't have to put much effort into it. The DRs respond superbly to further "after-treatment" by means of a suitable exhaust and carburetor. This significantly increases performance without compromising reliability.
The 70cc D.R. is our secret favorite. The price-performance ratio is very good and the performance is almost at Polini level. However, the D.R. has more torque and therefore feels fuller. Longevity is not an issue with these cylinders, and they are even forgiving of the occasional clunk if the joy of experimentation is once again too great.
