Thickness: 1.0 mm Material: Aluminum Ring shape for stepped sealing surface For Polini Evolution & gray cast iron Adjustable crushing edge For modified stroke/compression height
The cylinder head spacer enables clean adjustment of the squish edge and combustion chamber position whenthe stroke or compression height ischanged (e.g. long stroke, different connecting rod lengths, base gaskets). Specially developed for the newer Polini cylinders with stepped head sealing surface, the spacer positions the head precisely and reproducibly - ideal for fine-tuning compression, squish gap and timing.
Designed for Polini Evolution and Polini cast iron Racing (newer versions with stepped head sealing surface). Please check the cylinder head version visually (step/support in the head area).

Ensure clean, flat sealing surfaces. Insert spacer thinly with heat-resistant sealant or suitable head gasket (if provided), tighten torque on cylinder side according to manufacturer's instructions and check after heat cycle. Check and document the crushing edge (soldering tin method). In the event of major stroke/connecting rod changes, measure the timing and adjust the base/head spacer combination if necessary.
