Bore 70 mm, stroke 58 mm, Nikasil-coated aluminum cylinder. Timing: Outlet 180° - area 1240 mm², transfer port 122° - area 1068 mm², inlet - diaphragm-controlled - area 1807 mm², pre-ventilation 29°.With the RB22 kit, the tried-and-tested TS1 cylinder from AF has been given a superior brother in terms of performance. The cylinder layout is clearly inspired by the MotoX range. The intake is controlled by two very wide 4-flap diaphragms. The arrangement of the diaphragms results in a V shape. Ducts lead directly from the inlet duct into the transfer ports, and there is also a boost port. The surface area of the outlet has been enlarged by two secondary outlet ports.
The piston used is the ASSO piston familiar from the TS1.
In addition to the cylinder and piston, the scope of delivery also includes the diaphragm and intake manifold.
In terms of workmanship, it cannot yet hold a candle to the TS1, which is manufactured by the Italian top foundry Gilardoni. Neither in terms of casting nor coating quality.
In the diagram below you can see the RB22 cylinder with a crankshaft stroke of 62 mm, timing 131° overflow, 195° exhaust, 32° intake. Carburetor Mikuni 38 mm. The green reference run is a completely original Indian GP 200 engine (SH22 carburetor, Indian big bore exhaust).
