Made in ItalyA brake caliper that definitely refuses to disappear into the background: the EVOK Performance P34 IRON in orange combines Italian CNC manufacturing with a look that turns the front wheel into a genuine highlight. EVOK has the caliper manufactured in Italy by 8.1 Ottopuntouno. The intense orange finish dramatically emphasizes every machined contour, every recess and every deliberately sculpted surface.
But the P34 is much more than a visual statement. Two brake pistons, each measuring 34 mm in diameter, provide a significantly larger hydraulically effective piston area compared with the original brake caliper with 2 x 30 mm pistons. Pre-installed sintered brake pads are also included. This makes the EVOK caliper a striking combination of custom styling and a technically interesting upgrade for the front braking system.
From 30 to 34 mm is only four millimetres in diameter – but the difference in effective piston area is much more substantial. Since piston area increases with the square of the diameter, the EVOK P34 with its two 34 mm pistons provides a total effective piston area of approximately 1,816 mm². The original version with two 30 mm pistons provides approximately 1,414 mm².
The P34 therefore offers around 28.4% more hydraulically effective piston area. At identical hydraulic pressure, this theoretically results in correspondingly greater clamping force between the brake pads and brake disc.
The larger piston area also changes the hydraulic ratio of the braking system. If the original master cylinder continues to be used, a greater volume of brake fluid must be displaced to achieve the same piston travel. As a result, brake lever travel and lever feel may change compared with the standard brake caliper.
The approximately 28.4% larger piston area should not be interpreted as 28.4% more actual braking performance. The vehicle's ultimate braking capability also depends on factors including the brake disc, brake pads, coefficient of friction, temperature, overall hydraulic configuration and available tyre grip. However, the larger piston area provides the potential for greater pad clamping force at the same hydraulic pressure.
The strong visual presence continues inside the caliper. EVOK supplies the P34 with sintered brake pads already installed, so there is no need to select a separate initial set of pads. The pads are positioned by a retaining pin running through the caliper and secured by a clearly visible safety clip.
In the product images, the copper-coloured pad backing plates create a particularly striking contrast with the orange caliper body. Functional engineering is not hidden here – it is deliberately made part of the racing design.
On this version, colour plays a leading role. The intense orange does not simply cover the shape of the P34 – it highlights the elaborate machining of the caliper. Fine, closely spaced CNC tool paths are particularly visible across the large side surfaces. Depending on the viewing angle and incidence of light, they create an almost three-dimensional surface texture.
Deeply machined elongated recesses above and below the large white EVOK lettering add further depth to the outer face. At the same time, sharply defined transitions and differently machined surfaces extend across the entire caliper body. The result does not look like a disguised production component, but exactly what it is: a visibly elaborate CNC-machined performance part.
The large white EVOK branding creates a particularly strong contrast against the orange finish. Directly beside it is the much smaller “By 8.1” marking, identifying Italian manufacturing partner Ottopuntouno.
EVOK has the P34 manufactured by 8.1 in Italy. This combination of CNC engineering and Italian racing culture defines the character of the caliper. Orange machined surfaces, visible tool paths, contrasting logos and exposed mechanical details make the P34 a component that proudly displays its technical origins.

If a scooter is built with attention to every detail, there is no reason to hide the brake caliper behind the front wheel. The orange EVOK P34 does exactly the opposite: it deliberately puts the braking system in the spotlight. Its intense finish, visible CNC structures and white EVOK branding transform the brake caliper into a genuine custom highlight.
Behind the spectacular appearance lies serious engineering: two 34 mm pistons, approximately 28.4% more effective piston area compared with the original 2 x 30 mm configuration and pre-installed sintered brake pads. The P34 is therefore a consistent upgrade for scooters where performance and styling are intended to speak the same language.
Work on the braking system is safety-critical and should be carried out professionally. After installation, the braking system must be filled and bled according to the manufacturer's specifications and checked for correct operation and leaks.
