125-190 cc version with Ø 32 mm manifold - For 3.00-10 or 90/90-10 - 3.50-10 only with 105 mm connecting rod - Not suitable for side compartment/luggage compartment (V50 frame).
The City Box is designed for everyday smallframe setups where noise level and inconspicuousness are just as important as clean engine running. From the outside, it looks almost like a stock pot - but technically, it is designed so that even more powerful engines can function reliably without quickly running into thermal problems.
Smallframe box exhaust Very quiet Ø 32 mm manifold For 125-190 ccm Original look
Many tuned smallframes are ridden every day, especially in urban areas. The City Box was developed precisely for this purpose: as quiet as possible, with stable thermals and a look that does not immediately reveal that a powerful exhaust has been fitted.
Many box systems suffer from stinger cross-sections that are too small - this can lead to high temperatures with loaded setups. In the City Box, the stinger is designed for Ø 22 mm so that the engine can breathe out cleanly even under load. The aim is a setup that not only rides well in everyday use, but also remains stable.
A performance curve is stored in the product. This was determined on an Egig 170 cylinder set.
Very nice to see: The power increases in a pleasantly linear manner , typical for boxing, accompanied by powerful torque. At the same time, the band remains broad and shows a very clean overrev after the peak. It is precisely this characteristic that makes the City Box ideal for powerful, easy-to-drive road sports engines that push off smoothly and yet do not close up immediately at the top.
The City Box doesn't just make sense for setups over 15 hp. A classic 130 cc standard tuning(e.g. Polini) with a 19 or 24 carburetor can also benefit from the inconspicuous appearance and the characteristics suitable for everyday use - especially if you are looking for a quiet solution.
Anyone who rides a smallframe on a daily basis and wants to combine performance with restraint often ends up with exactly this idea: a box that is hardly noticeable but works cleanly. The City Box is made for this - quiet, with a sensible thermal design and yet with plenty of thrust.
