Piaggio has decided to let produce the formerly very good original exhaust now cheaper.
The final product is not of the quality you would expect from an original Piaggio spare part. The exhaust is very inaccurately manufactured and must be individually adapted to each vehicle. It may happen that a hammer is needed to bring the exhaust manifold into shape.
The manifold diameter at the exhaust flange is too large. A corresponding seal only works with additional sealing material (cut Coke can sheet into shape or use our exhaust bushing kit BGM1022)
Furthermore, the new manufacturer largely does without insulation, making the exhaust sounds quite tinny and loud. The performance characteristics, on the other hand, have become a bit more touring-friendly. The engine enters the power band earlier and has a little more torque. In return, it no longer revs so far.
We recommend as an alternative the qualitatively clearly better aftermarket exhaust from SITO (with E-passport/approval, see accessories).
