OEM quality Ø54×78×3 mm, gray For Ø75 mm horn diameter Italian and Spanish production

Dimensions and design

Outer diameter of the seal: approx. 78 mm, suitable for horns with 75 mm housing diameter.
Inner diameter: approx. 54 mm, thickness: approx. 3 mm - sufficient material thickness for support without allowing the horn to protrude.
Elastic rubber in gray finish, visually matching the leg shield and horn mask of the classic Largeframe models.
Contour and hole patterns correspond to the OEM specification, the seal fits unobtrusively into the original structure.

Installation and frame variants

The seal is inserted between the frame cut-out and the horn housing. When the horn screws are tightened, the rubber is evenly applied and seals the gap in the area of the horn cut-out. Metal-to-metal contact is avoided, which both protects the paintwork and reduces resonance and rattling noises.

The version offered here is designed for Italian and Spanish frame production with a horn diameter of Ø75 mm. Different horn masks and opening dimensions are sometimes used on models for the German market. These vehicles generally require a seal with Ø81 mm(item no.: 7673855).

Frequently asked questions

How do I find out whether I need the 75 mm or 81 mm seal?
The easiest way is to measure directly on the vehicle: Remove the horn mask, determine the outer diameter of the horn housing or the frame opening and compare with 75 mm or 81 mm. For Italian and Spanish frames, the 75 mm variant is usually correct, for German versions 81 mm is more common.
Can I also use the gasket on Motovespa?
Many Spanish Motovespa models in this construction period use identical front sections. If the horn diameter and frame opening correspond to 75 mm, the seal will usually also fit. If in doubt, measure briefly.
Does the horn have to be completely removed for replacement?
Yes, the horn is loosened or removed, the old seal removed and the new seal inserted between the frame and horn housing. The horn is then screwed back into its original position.
What are the benefits of the seal apart from its appearance?
It prevents direct metal contact between the edge of the horn and the frame, protects the paintwork from indentations and chafing and dampens vibrations. This reduces the typical rattling noise in the horn mask area, especially on older vehicles with slightly worn fastenings.
Can I simply cut or stretch a seal that does not fit?
This is not advisable. A seal that is too large or too small will fit poorly, can be crushed or have a negative effect on the fit of the horn. It is better to choose the correct version (75 mm or 81 mm) to fit the frame and the horn.
What does OEM quality mean in this context?
OEM quality means that the dimensions, material appearance and function of the seal are closely based on the original factory equipment. This means that the part blends unobtrusively into the original bodywork and functions like the factory-fitted component.
