The rotary valve control of the largeframe Vespa models (starting from the VNA models around 1962) up to today's PX is as clever as it is well thought-out. On the 200cc engines, whose rotary valve is wider than that of the 125cc models, power of over 30 hp is now regularly conjured up with a good power band. This is made possible by the flow-optimized MRP rotary valve intake manifold. This is available in two versions with Ø30mm or Ø36mm passage width.
The big advantage of the rotary slide valve intake, compared to a reed valve intake, is that it is quiet.
This
is certainly not an uninteresting aspect for a touring/everyday rider
. 28 to 32mm carburettors can be used on this intake without any problems. For example, carburetors from Keihin, Mikuni and Dell Orto. The carburetors fit WITHOUT spacers and also WITHOUT the frame having to be dented or similar. Plug&Play!
Scope of delivery:
Note: Racing product without road approval. However, the intake can be registered with an individual TÜV approval.
CONCLUSION: Perfect flow, ideal carburetor position, highest quality made in Germany!
