The rotary vane control of the large-frame Vespa models (starting with the VNA models around 1962) up to today's PX is as clever as it is sophisticated. On the 200cc engines, whose rotary vane is wider than that of the 125cc models, performance of over 30hp with a good power band is now regularly conjured up. This is made possible by the flow-optimized MRP rotary vane intake manifold. This is available in two versions with Ø30mm or Ø36mm passage width.
The big advantage of the rotary vane inlet, compared to a diaphragm inlet, is that it is quiet.
For a touring / everyday driver certainly not an uninteresting aspect.
Carburettors from 28 to 32mm can be driven on this intake without problems. For example carburetors from Keihin, Mikuni and Dell Orto. The carburettors fit WITHOUT spacers and also WITHOUT the frame having to be dented or something similar. Plug&Play!
