Most bearings go in the course of ca.10000km by dirt, bearing load or low lubrication defective. The more the engines are tuned or the more kilometers the bearings have to do, the more often they have to be replaced. This should be done during an engine revision, by heating the housing and the bearings are cooled e.g. by ice spray to be able to use them then.
