The earlier gearbox types, e.g. in the VBB or Sprint, use auxiliary shafts that require pointed needles. These pointed needles are no longer available and can only be replaced by the modern needle type described here. To do this, it is also necessary to replace the auxiliary shaft with the more modern type with undercut for the round needles. This is usually obligatory anyway as the auxiliary shafts often show signs of pitting on the bearing surface.
We have the corresponding auxiliary shafts in our delivery program, please compare the dimensions beforehand as there are different diameters on the bearing seats.
