Transmission parts from Stefano Benelli rightly enjoy an excellent reputation in the racing scene. If you are looking for reliable racing technology for your gearbox, you will find it here.
Hardened to an average of 60 HRC, the Benelli parts provide exactly the perfect balance between sufficient hardness and the necessary elasticity to withstand the enormous stresses in a racing engine over the long term. Benelli offers a reinforced primary kit for Vespa Largeframe engines with a wide primary gear (from around model year 1965).
This kit offers some special features:
Screwed cover plate = no riveting necessary!
Clutch pinion for PX old type clutch (6/7 springs) = suitable for clutches from Kingwelle or Crimaz CMX
The scope of delivery includes the original primary springs of the PX200 models.
For high-performance engines, we recommend reinforced primary springs that can handle the high torque of a modified engine. Unlike original springs, these no longer go coil bound. This means the springs are not completely compressed and still provide sufficient travel. This prevents load peaks from being transferred to the gearbox and protects the components despite increased engine power. The primary kit is delivered ready to install and features a screwed, reinforced cover plate for the primary springs.
The other side is closed, i.e. it has been made from solid material together with the pinion.
INSTALLATION NOTE
If the kit is used in a Malossi engine case (VR-One / V-One), the area at the bearing seat of the large crankshaft bearing must be slightly machined.
Otherwise, the primary gear will touch the reinforced bearing seat of the Malossi engine cases.
