The BGM Classic combines a classic tread pattern with a technically modern construction. Developed and manufactured in Germany by Heidenau, the tire is aimed at riders who not only expect 8-inch wheels to look good, but also clean handling, good wet grip and a durable carcass.
The Classic profile is visually based on the tire patterns used on many classic Vespa and Lambretta models. This keeps the look consistent without sacrificing the technical standard of modern tire construction.
The tire is designed with a V-shape instead of a classic U-shape. This supports more precise turn-in behavior and a defined riding feel without sacrificing the classic character of an 8-inch tire.
With load index 46, the tire can carry up to 170 kg. The speed index P gives it a speed rating of up to 150 km/h. The designation 4PR no longer literally stands for the number of plies, but still describes a more resilient version in the classic sense.
The designation PR comes from an older tire classification and was previously associated with the load-bearing capacity of reinforced tires. In the BGM Classic, the combination of 4PR, reinforced and load index 46 stands for a resilient design that is very well suited to high-performance 8-inch vehicles.
