Quick action throttle vs. CMD throttle roller TheSloth

Quick action throttle - what for?

We offer a wide range of quick action throttles. But the use of a quick action throttle does not really make your scooter any quicker. Usually there is only one thing you will need a quick action throttle for: If you have fitted a large carburetor and the circumference of the original throttle roller, which is fitted in the steering head, is not enough to entirely open the carburetor. Or if you need to turn the throttle twice to force it open entirely - in racing, this obviously takes precious time. And that's where we are heading: such a quick action throttle already looks quite fast. Those appreciating such a noticeable look with quick action, will be perfectly happy with this quick action throttle:

throttle grips [su_spacer]Disadvantages of a quick action throttle

These models have one disadvantage. You can only fit them with a fixed throttle twist grip. If you want to fit a quick action throttle, you will necessarily need the Polini twist grip. It replaces the original twisting throttle twist grip and offers a perfect base to mount the quick action throttle. You will also need a new (longer) throttle cable and might need to bore a hole in the handlebar to connect the throttle cable to the quick action throttle from the outside.

New: Quick action-throttle roller by CMD - advantages for everyone

The throttle roller by Crazy Monkey Development is the first throttle roller with integrated cable barrel. You will need only one screw to attach the new quick action-throttle roller to the existing throttle twist grip and to the throttle cable. Thanks to direct access from the front it is easy to replace the throttle cable of Smallframe Vespas in particular. You will no longer need to use these tiny trunnions. Good bye to bleeding fingers and tears, it's only "Sloth".

Original looks - top functions

The quick action throttle function offers all those advantages, which have been described above for racing versions: The new CMD throttle roller with a circumference of 40 mm opens the carburetor up to 36 mm without problems. Looks remain entirely original. No one will see that you have fitted a quick action throttle to maybe help your huge carburetor to breathe.
