The crankshaft of the Vespa PK125 ETS models has the most stable crankshaft stub of all Smallframe engines. It has a massive diameter of Ø25mm at the bearing seat on the alternator side and is therefore able to withstand all loads. The ETS crankshaft type is therefore very popular for tuned engines.
Due to the large diameter the crankshaft cannot be driven with the standard bearings/shaft seals. Therefore we offer this practical conversion kit with which any V50, 50N, V90, SS90, PV125, ET3 as well as PK S and PK XL engine type can be converted.
ASSEMBLY:
The enclosed circlip is inserted into the bearing bore of the alternator half. It is positioned so that the opening created between the ring ends opens the oil hole for the bearing. Then install the bearing 6005 as usual (cool down the bearing, heat the motor housing). The bearing on the drive side is installed as in a standard motor revision. Finally, the shaft sealing rings are inserted and the sealing lips are wetted with some oil (do not use grease).
