BGM PRO Racing crankshaft for Vespa V50 and PK50 with Ø19 mm cone

Material:
The BGM crankshafts are forged like in the good old Piaggio days. During forging, the material is pressed together under high temperature and pressure. This results in a higher density of the material. Heat is dissipated much better. The material is more resistant to warping. This is a huge advantage over the crankshafts produced by other manufacturers, whose materials often do not even reach the level of a standard shaft.

Tuning:
The high quality of the material used also allows the use of very light pole wheels without the risk of crankshaft damage. This allows better acceleration behavior to be combined with significantly increased engine durability. This is particularly important on high-displacement and high-speed engines.

Timingangle:
The timing angle of this crankshaft is longer than that of a standard shaft. Ideal for giving all cylinders, from 50cc Sport to 112cc Racing, a lot more steam. With tuning cylinders, the standard shaft with its much too short intake time cannot keep up. When a certain engine speed level is reached, the engine is then literally shut off. With the optimized control angles of our shaft, the engine can be tuned as if an original Piaggio shaft had been installed. Nevertheless, the extended intake angle ensures that even completely rebuilt engines can fully rev up. In addition, the rotary valve inlet of the housing can be extended to create sufficient space for a larger carburettor and to further increase the engine's performance.

Design:

Crankshaft

with so-called small cone with 19 mm. Such shafts can be recognized by the diameter of the shaft sealing ring surface on the alternator side. This is the surface that is located after the cone, but before the bearing seat of the bearing on the crankshaft stub.

  • Cone: 19 mm, pointed
  • Control angle: Standard
  • Stroke: 43 mm
  • Connecting rod bearing top: 12 mm

TIP: The 19 mm diameter shafts have a narrow pointed cone, which can also break off in powerful engines with high engine speeds. In this case, we recommend converting to a crankshaft with a 20 mm taper. However, this requires the ignition to be converted.

This is how we ensure, that reviews come from real consumers.
