Piaggio has decided to make the formerly very good original exhaust now cheaper.
The end product is far from the product quality you would expect from an original Piaggio spare part. The exhaust is very inaccurately manufactured and must be individually adapted to each vehicle. It can happen that a hammer is needed to bring the exhaust manifold into shape.
The manifold diameter is Ø38mm and therefore 1mm too big. An appropriate sealing works only with additional sealing material (Coke can sheet metal cut into shape).
Furthermore, the new manufacturer has largely dispensed with insulation, which makes the exhaust sound quite tinny and loud. The performance characteristics, on the other hand, have become somewhat more touring-friendly. The engine enters the power band earlier and has a little more torque. In return, it no longer revs so far.
