DEXTER RACING Classic Front Disc Brake Set for Vespa VBA/VBB/VNB and Faro Basso

Compatible with classic Vespa models featuring VBA/VBB/VNB forks, as well as Wideframe and Faro Basso forks with the headlight mounted below—including select licensed models such as ACMA, Hoffmann, Motovespa, and Douglas.

Important: 8-inch only with Dexter conversion rim

If you wish to retain the original 8-inch tires, a compatible Dexter conversion rim is required: DEX20163 or DEX20164; see Accessories. This disc brake cannot be combined with stock rims or standard aluminum aftermarket rims from other manufacturers.

The DEXTER RACING Classic front disc brake kit is a modern solution for early Vespa forks: significantly greater braking power, more stability on rough roads, and reduced front-end dive during braking. The conversion is designed so that the original fork and fender remain unchanged, and the conversion is reversible. Important when choosing wheels: When using 8-inch tires, the set works exclusively with the matching Dexter conversion rims.

Disc instead of drum brake in the front Integrated anti-dive CNC solid-material swingarm Speedometer drive compatible Compatible with hubcaps No fork or fender modifications required Fully reversible 8 inches only with Dexter rim Brake caliper not included

SC Expert Insight: Why Anti-Dive Makes Such a Big Difference on Early Forks

Due to their design, early Vespa front forks dive significantly during heavy braking. This alters the trail and wheel load—making the front end less stable.
The integrated anti-dive design reduces this movement, keeping the front end more stable and allowing you to modulate braking force more effectively, especially on uneven surfaces.

Important before purchasing: Check your fork type and rim

This set is designed for VBA/VBB/VNB fork types as well as Wideframe and Faro-Basso forks. For modified vehicles or mixed configurations, please check the installed fork type in advance. Additionally: If you want to keep the original 8-inch tires, you’ll need a compatible Dexter conversion rim (DEX20163 or DEX20164 ). The brake cannot be combined with stock rims or aluminum rims from other manufacturers.

V1T–V15T V30T–V33T VU1T VM1TVM2T VN1TVN2T VL1TVL2TVL3T VB1T VGL1T

Note: “Faro Basso” refers to models with a low-mounted headlight, i.e., the light is at the bottom.

ACMA France: ACMA 125, early wide-frame generation, ACMA 150 GL depending on the version
Hoffmann, Germany: Hoffmann-Vespa 125, A/B based on the wide-frame design
Motovespa, Spain: for example, Motovespa 125 N based on the wide-frame design, depending on the year of manufacture
