This CIF switch tube corresponds to the late version with roller and is intended for vehicles of the above model series from approx. 1976 onwards. For a quick and reliable assignment, the installed technology is particularly important: ROLLE or MUFFE.

Two technical versions were used within this Vespa model series. The right choice therefore depends not only on the model, but above all on the technology installed on the vehicle.
The shift tube takes over the rotation of the left handle and transfers it to the shift mechanism. A worn, run-in or bent tube quickly leads to play in the handle, imprecise shifting or sluggish operation. A new tube creates a clean and stable basis again.
For a quick technical classification, here is an overview of the most important dimensions and references: Overall length 310 mm, grip length 117 mm, length in the handlebar 124 mm and tube diameter Ø 24 mm. Piaggio 137840 and 1378406 serve as OEM reference numbers, which means that the design can be clearly assigned to the late version with ROLLER.
This shift tube is intended for the late version with ROLLE. It is therefore suitable for vehicles in this model series that have already been technically converted to the later system. Especially with older vehicles, the old part, handlebars and chassis area should always be checked before ordering.
For vehicles with handlebar end indicators, the installed version should be checked particularly carefully. Particularly in the case of restored or converted scooters, the year of manufacture, handlebars and grip tubes do not always match the original delivery condition. Custom reproductions for this version are generally no longer available.
CIF produces this switch tube in Italy and is based on the original design. This is particularly important for components in the handlebar area, as dimensional accuracy and material quality have a direct influence on operating force, running behavior and durability.
