BGM ORIGINAL ignition base plate 12V contact ignition for Vespa PX without battery

Ignition / alternator with ignition contacts for Vespa P125X, P150X, Italian version without battery, with 4 indicators.

A complete, ready-to-install replacement ignition base plate is supplied with all coils as well as the contacts and the capacitor. The connection cables have the original colors, so replacing them is easy.

NOTE
The P125X/P150X models have a static ignition timing of 21° before top dead center. To do this, install the ignition base plate so that the marking in the engine housing points exactly between the 'A' and 'IT' markings on the ignition base plate. The ignition contacts are then set so that they open 0.3-0.5 mm when the piston is at top dead center (check with a feeler gauge through the inspection window in the pole wheel). The contact is adjusted through the inspection window when the flywheel is fitted. To do this, slightly loosen the locking screw of the contact and turn the contact in the arrow-shaped recess with a flat-blade screwdriver, adjust, then re-fasten the locking screw.

Please lubricate the felt plate with a few drops of oil or suitable grease. This is essential for a permanently stable ignition timing. Without lubrication, the cam of the ignition contact wears out quickly and automatically reduces the contact gap.
