Lambretta A-F scooters - information, models and suitable spare parts
The Lambretta A to F series represent the first generations of Italian Innocenti scooters and mark the beginning of classic gearshift technology. The vehicles use robust, fan-cooled 2-stroke engines with 3- or 4-speed gearboxes and an early monocoque or pressed steel concept. The technology is clearly structured and can be reliably assigned thanks to the fixed assemblies. These models are historically significant today and are often restored, maintained and used in everyday life.
Lambretta A-F - early Italian scooters with a clear technical basis
Model overview, technology and parts supply in Scooter Center
The model range extends from the early Lambretta A with its simple rear-wheel drive through the B version with adapted chassis geometry to the further developed C, D, E and F series. On the engine side, fan-cooled 2-stroke units with a 3-speed gearbox were used, and later in the C-F models also revised drive units with a more stable design. The clear development of the model series enables the relevant components such as the crankshaft, shift mechanism, carburetor and brake system to be clearly identified. The Scooter Center carries suitable spare and maintenance parts for these classic Lambretta generations.
Technical features of the Lambretta A-F models
Lambretta A-F models use independent Innocenti engines, which are easy to maintain thanks to their compact size and the clear allocation of components. Typical features are the early pressed steel frame construction, fan-cooled cylinders, fixed gearshift mechanisms and direct, mechanical handling. All series have a clear parts architecture, allowing many components to be broken down logically. This design forms the basis for the later LI, TV, SX and GP/DL models.
