Genuine Piaggio brake caliper for the hydraulic rear brake of current Vespa GTS and GTS Super models. Manufactured by Nissin, the brake caliper corresponds to the standard production specification and is suitable as a direct replacement for a damaged, leaking or worn rear brake caliper.
The brake caliper is supplied with the brake pads already installed. This means that the essential components of the caliper are pre-assembled and the complete unit can be used to replace the existing component as part of a professional repair.
The images show the compact black design with threaded mounting points for installation. The brake pads, pad retaining spring and associated pad guide are already installed in the caliper. The hydraulic brake line connection and bleed nipple for subsequent filling and bleeding of the brake system are also present.
Work on the braking system is safety-critical and should be carried out professionally. After replacing the brake caliper, the hydraulic brake system must be completely bled. Before using the vehicle, particular attention should be paid to checking the caliper mounting, brake line connection, system for leaks and correct operation of the rear brake.
As a genuine Piaggio part, this brake caliper is particularly suitable for repairs where the standard configuration of the rear brake is to be retained. The pre-installed brake pads also reduce the number of components required separately.
