The genuine Royal Alloy footboard trim strip with part number 0312020018-10-001 is the metal support strip for the front left inner section of the footboard. It is used on the Royal Alloy GP, JPS and TG model ranges and provides the stable base for the rubber footboard strip fitted above it.
The silver-coloured metal strip forms part of the multi-component original footboard assembly. While the upper rubber footboard strip provides the actual footrest surface, a separate rubber underlay is positioned between the metal strip and the footboard to protect the bodywork surface. Neither rubber component is included in the scope of delivery.
The footboard trim strip features an elongated, open-profile construction with two parallel longitudinal sections. Several crosspieces divide the open areas and connect the longitudinal sections. One end is largely straight, while the other curves noticeably upwards to follow the contour of the footboard.
The end pieces are already integrated into the metal strip. Both ends feature rounded finishes with mounting holes. Additional mounting points are visible on the underside and form part of the vehicle-specific installation arrangement.
Thanks to the integrated end pieces, the metal strip forms a single continuous assembly. No separate end caps need to be added to this component.
The original footboard trim assembly consists of several coordinated components. The metal support strip accommodates the upper rubber footboard strip. An additional rubber underlay is positioned between the metal strip and the footboard, protecting the underlying surface from direct contact with the metal.
When replacing the metal strip, check whether the existing rubber footboard strip and the protective underlay beneath it can be reused. Damaged, hardened or missing rubber components should be replaced separately. Before installation, clean the contact surfaces and mounting points and inspect them for damage.
This footboard trim strip is specifically designed for the front left inner position. The strips for the right-hand side and the outer positions have different shapes and must not be confused when ordering replacement parts.
The genuine Royal Alloy metal footboard trim strip 0312020018-10-001 allows the original footboard assembly to be restored following damage or wear. Its silver-coloured finish and integrated end pieces correspond to the construction of the original component.
