The genuine Royal Alloy footboard trim strip with part number 0312020019-10-001 is designed for the front right inner position of the footboard. This silver-coloured metal component serves as the support for the upper rubber footboard strip and forms part of the original footboard equipment on the Royal Alloy GP, JPS and TG model ranges.
In the multi-component footboard trim assembly, the metal strip provides the supporting structure. The separately fitted rubber footboard strip forms the surface on which the foot rests, while an additional rubber underlay is positioned between the metal support and the footboard. This underlay prevents direct contact between the metal and the bodywork surface. Both rubber components are available separately and are not included in the scope of delivery.
The metal footboard trim strip consists of two narrow, parallel longitudinal sections connected by several crosspieces. These create elongated openings between the sections. The predominantly straight profile transitions into a distinctly upward-curved section at one end, designed to follow the shape of the footboard.
Both rounded footboard trim end pieces are permanently integrated into the construction. They feature mounting holes and, together with the open centre section, form one continuous assembly. Additional mounting points are located on the underside for installation on the vehicle.
The integrated construction allows the complete metal strip, including its end pieces, to be replaced as a single component. No additional separate footboard trim end caps are required.
This footboard trim strip is position-specific and intended exclusively for the front right inner section. The versions for the front left inner position and the outer footboard positions differ in shape and have their own original part numbers.
During removal, the upper rubber footboard strip and the rubber underlay beneath it should be inspected for cracks, deformation and hardening of the material. If the rubber components are still in good condition, they can be reused when installing the new metal strip. Otherwise, separate replacement is recommended.
Before installation, inspect the mounting points and contact surface of the footboard. The protective rubber underlay must be correctly positioned between the metal strip and the bodywork to prevent direct contact between the components.
The genuine Royal Alloy footboard trim strip 0312020019-10-001 is suitable for the targeted repair of damaged or worn footboard trim. Its vehicle-specific shape, integrated end pieces and silver-coloured surface allow the original configuration of the right inner footboard trim strip to be restored.
