bgm PRO air filter fleece insert for air filter box Vespa Smallframe V50, 50N, PV, ET3
For the Vespa Smallframe models with DellOrto SHB carburetor, we have developed a high-quality filter fleece from bgm PRO developed. Made in Italy by Marchald. The new bgm PRO air filter insert replaces the original wire mesh on all Vespa Smallframe engines with a sheet metal air filter box and can be replaced 1:1 quickly, easily and safely.
Advantages
Significantly better and finer filtration
Protects the engine as no fragments of the old wire mesh can be sucked in
Also ideal for higher performance engines with increased air requirements
The sheet metal air filter box of the Vespa is held together with two cotter pins. On the back of the air filter box, the ends of the split pins are bent over to secure them.
2. remove the cotter pins and store the washers
straighten the ends of the two cotter pins using suitable pliers and pull out the cotter pins. Ensure that the washers remain in place.
3. remove the cover
The cover can now be easily removed and the original wire mesh, the air filter, is visible. [
4. wireless air filter? Our wireless solution
Simply pull the old wire mesh out of its compartment and clean the air filter box. Due to ageing and vibrations, the original wire air filter tends to break individual wires. These fragments then lie loose in the air filter box and can be sucked in by the engine.
5. insert new bgm PRO fleece
After you have cleaned the box thoroughly and removed the dangerous wire debris, you can now insert the bgm air filter insert into the compartment of the air filter box. Position the fleece so that there is sufficient protrusion for sealing in the direction of the air filter box cover. When inserting the air filter insert, ensure that the black, coarse part of the filter mat is facing in the direction of intake, i.e. downwards.
6. close and fit the air filter
Then replace the air filter cover and secure it with the cotter pins. When fitting the split pins, make sure that a washer is positioned under the head and under each end.
