? The limit with conventional Bilux bulbs on most scooters is a 45/45 W headlight bulb. The ignitions, which generally have an output of 80 W to max. 120 W, do not provide any more. The luminosity measured in lumens is less than 400. The LED headlight has more than three times the luminosity (1300 lumens). The power consumption is only 20 W. This corresponds to the luminous efficacy of a conventional 100-watt headlamp. This means that considerably better illumination can be achieved with a given alternator/voltage supply. In addition, more capacity remains for other consumers.
