Once in the north of Thailand, we also wanted to take a look around Chiang Mai. But first things first: the density of really good scooter workshops in Thailand is overwhelming. We were therefore only able to pick out a few and pay them a personal visit. Otherwise we would still be there next year.

Just outside the city, we were able to visit the guys from S6X and Kaccess. They have made a real name for themselves with high-quality, customized CNC products for Vespa and Lambretta. Their brake systems, which are available in different versions, particularly caught our eye. Disc brakes with a drum brake look - simply brilliant!
When we visited them, they were busy building a smallframe racer with a central suspension strut and Quattrini frame. Once completed, it will be an absolute eye-catcher!

Another place to go for scooter fans is Galaxy Scooter Shop. This store lives and breathes Lambretta and Vespa. Two floors full of scooter parts, special classics and racing scooters and a workshop on the first floor. They also install numerous BGM products, which is why the workbench naturally features an engine with RT cylinder and bgm-clutch on the workbench. The positive feedback on our BGM products was great - as were the suggestions for improvement and the honest criticism. Everything is gratefully received!

With great anticipation, we visited another item on our bucket list: Oldiesworks Chiangmai. Here, classic car restorations are celebrated at a level that you would otherwise only dream of. It goes without saying that Vespa and Lambretta projects are also included.
On the outskirts of the city, all types of cars are rebuilt, serviced, restored or souped up for customers according to their own wishes! We couldn't stop being amazed.
They have their own "lost-places" scrapyard: iconic cars stand between meters of grass and tropical trees!
The fact that everything runs so perfectly is partly down to Stefan, who spent his youth in Germany, is a real scooterist himself and runs the store. Thanks again for the great tour and all the information, Stefan!
Conclusion:
Chiang Mai is not just temples and night markets - for scooter nerds, this is pure paradise. If you're ever in Thailand, you have to put these addresses on your list!
