VMC has revised its popular short-stroke sports cylinder for V50 and PK50*. With a full 110cc, resulting from a 43mm stroke and an impressive Ø57mm bore, the kit offers the ultimate solution for all those who want to retain the option of a powerful and free-revving engine based on the original stroke of the small smallframe models. This also means that the small cooling cover can continue to be used. The kit remains visually very inconspicuous, but scores massively with its performance data.
TECHNICAL DATA
Bore: Ø57mm
Stroke: 43mm (45/47mm also possible)
Exhaust shape: two-piece
Exhaust flange: Ø28mm
Distance between stud bolts outlet: 56mm
Control angle outlet: 180°
Control angle overcurrent: 120°
At one of our numerous Open Day events, we already had some engines with the predecessor, the RVA 100cc cylinder with 'only Ø54mm bore, on our in-house test bench. With a whopping 20 hp and a power curve that looks more like a 130cc engine, the small VMC also convinces sworn smallframe fans of the larger displacement classes.
The kit offers enormous scope for further tuning. Thanks to the directly flange-mounted diaphragm-controlled intake on the cylinder, the cylinder has the full potential to take a deep breath right out of the box. This also means that you are not restricted in your choice of crankshaft. VMC even offers suitable long-stroke versions with 45mm and even 47mm stroke. This means that 120cc can be realized under the small hood with a short stroke (if you want even more, you can fall back on the VMC CP58, which also uses the small cylinder scoop, but then already uses the crankshaft of the 125cc models).

For those who like it sporty, we can recommend the 'Mamba' or the 'Taipan' from Egig as an exhaust tip. But even with a conventional 'banana exhaust' or our V50 Touring Box (V50 or PK), the cylinder is already a lot of fun.
*To fit the cylinder/intake system in PK models, the frame cut-out for the carburettor passage must be machined/extended
