The Nikasil-coated cylinder bore ensures low-friction piston movement, while the aluminum cylinder facilitates efficient heat dissipation and six transfer ports support gas exchange.
Before installation, the existing cylinder head should be inspected for condition and suitability for the 172.5-cc cylinder, as no cylinder head is included. Careful carburetor tuning, as well as inspection of the cooling system and adjacent engine components, is recommended when using a racing cylinder.
