Vespa PX 80 Lusso with 177cc engine

Vespa Px

The Vespa has been in my possession for 10 years this year. The 80cc engine was swapped for a 125cc block and refined with a Polini 177cc cylinder, Malossi reed valve, Mazzucchelli racing shaft and a 30cc Dellorto carburettor. The result of the tuning is a constant 18 hp.
After a crash with the PX, I also started to modify the look. This gave the Vespa a PX Alt look, hump seat, drop handlebars, disc brakes, short-stroke throttle and a new paint job.
I finished the conversion just in time for Scooter Center Open Day and had a nice ride from Koblenz.

Vespa T4

I bought the T4 in the color "Indian Bamboo" in 2016 as my 2nd scooter after my re-entry into the scooter scene. Before that, I had bought a PX like the one I had in the 80s, and access to the scene awakened my desire for older scooters. After the T4, I bought two small frames (round lights), an Acma and a VB1T. So I never get bored...

The T4 was available in luxury and simple, I have the simple version with 3 gears, but the chrome decorations on the cheeks, which the luxury model actually had.

Inexperienced as I was, I bought the T4 "restored". In other words, after the purchase we had to completely rebuild both the engine and the bearing seats in the steering head. However, the original engine remained in it. I rode it from 2017-2022, with a 177 DR (on 2 channels). Had just under 10 hp and ran completely smoothly. I always took the T4 on vacation together with the PX, so it has already run a lot of kilometers with me.

Last winter, the engine was replaced by Andreas Nagy and got a 3rd channel milled and a 190cc Pinasco Magny Cours on long stroke. I was on the test bench with it for the first time at your Open Day. I'm still not completely satisfied with the power, it's only 13 hp, but at 16.6 NM. I'm hoping that a better carburetor tuning will improve things a bit.

GM MV 150 Little paint, lots of sheet metal?
I don't think there's that much exciting stuff to report about the scooter, apart from weeks of paint stripping in the evening.

Technically, I completely overhauled the scooter. Apart from all the standards and conversion to 12V, the scooter was mainly built up with BGM components. Hence the BGM under the lettering on the leg plate ;) The engine was classically overhauled with BGM-stuff. 187 cylinder, long stroke shaft, 26 Si carburetor, Superstrong, 65/23 ratio and box exhaust. Chassis too BGM. Rides very nicely.

Since then, the scooter has accompanied me very reliably in everyday life, as well as on some tours with my boys from Flatliners S.C.

Bajaj Chetak

It's a Bajaj Chetak from '84, still the nice one with trapezoidal handlebars and actually quite rare in this condition (even if it's usually rated as "just an Indian").
I got the scooter a few years ago from a nice gentleman from Cologne. The Bajaj was imported via Hamburg in '84 and was ridden by the gentleman for a few years when he first owned it.

I deliberately didn't "dress up" the scooter as a Vespa Sprint, but left it as a Bajaj. Only a few things had to be adapted for visual reasons.

Acma v56

Year of construction 57

It was brought from France 2 years ago and then completely taken apart. Everything was cleaned and the paintwork was kneaded, cleaned, sanded, polished and sealed.
A year ago it was overhauled by Enderle solution.

Mauro-Mulas Vespa VNB

My Tuscany Vespa tour was planned. Before that, a visit to Scooter Center was on the agenda.

I got myself a few spare parts, stowed them in my newly designed VespaBags

and was able to set off for home with my 1961 Vespa VNB without any worries.

In beautiful weather, I drove past many villages on my Vespa and felt happy and free.
At the top of the Gotthard Pass, I had already completed a third of my journey.
Italy was not far away. The smell of freshly baked cornetti and freshly brewed coffee lured me into an espresso bar. You can't put this smell into words.

As a child, I would probably have said 'this is what happiness must smell like'.
Of course, a second cornetto found its way into my VespaBag found a place.

I drove on towards the sun through the idyllic hills, along the pine and cypress-flanked country roads of my Tuscany, past magnificent villas and old castles.
Before me lay a beautiful landscape characterized by olive trees and vineyards from which top wines such as olive oil are produced.

The leaning tower of Pisa could already be seen and the silhouettes of other famous cities such as Florence and Siena slowly emerged one after the other.

Now I had arrived at my destination. I unbuckled my VespaBag from the leg shield of my beloved vintage bike and took it with me.

P200E

Bought a year ago in Augsburg, had been deregistered in a barn for 22 years.
Purchase price 2022 ( 250€ )
You only get lucky like that once and this was my stroke of luck: an original P200E 200cc outer jaw in O-paint

Over the winter, everything was redone once Paint sanded polished sealed several times to preserve everything. Once completely turned over and every screw replaced.
Optimized accordingly and added more power to the engine.

VM1T 125

I bought the 1953 Faro Basso (VM1T) in May '22 and completely restored it. Unfortunately, the floor pan had to be re-welded because the previous owner had not repaired it properly. The Vespa was painted in the original color Grigio 15048 and the side bolsters and headlights are made of aluminum. A little more steam is provided by the Pinasco 160cc cylindera Pinasco racing shaft, a 12V Pinasco Flytech ignition, a modified primary gear ratio and a CP23 Polini carburetor. The clutch is fitted with a Cosa2 clutch. The bgm PRO SC/R1 Sport shock absorber. The original Italian letter (blue booklet) from 1953 from the first owner is still present.

NSU Prima D

The NSU Prima D was produced as the successor to the Lambretta after the licenses had expired. This scooter has been in the family since 1957 and was purchased from Zweirad Lindlau in Cologne. It was successively restored from 2014 and has since covered a good 4000 km. It's just fun to ride such an old treasure along the country roads and listen to the two-stroke engine at work.

Actually it was supposed to be an old school project with twin carburetors (stuff still available, will come back when, because stuff from the 80 90s) but then I came across a bundle with the Polini H2O and decided on it first, I wanted to have it back then.
Spare parts-wise it looks pretty bad for such old stuff, e.g. cylinder head gasket, where I got to know an Italian through a Facebook group who makes his own gaskets especially for it, and still has many nice things from that time.
Hoses and other small things in blue, should go to Polini ??
The rims are also completely new, hi even wider with an Ost Moped rim, because the hub diameter is the same as the Piaggio spoke rims.
The saddle was made by the local saddler, the gold of the Piaggio lettering is the same as the gold of the rims hubs.
It's not all old school, but tires and brake levers, handling I prefer more modern.

I then took on the Ciao and rebuilt it within 6 months Documentation available, most parts from the SC where I have been a customer for over 25 years. With kind regards

Simson scooter SR50

Here is the little story
I used to ride a Zündapp Hercules and a Victoria in my classic youth and always had fun wrenching
The wrenching then went over to the car
In 21 my good friend has a sr50 Simson standing there in a not good condition, which HE wanted to build up,,, but he then bought another sr50 in better condition ...and I took over the other sr50
So in the evening conversation it happened (typical buddy; come we rebuild both sr50 ?..).
No sooner said than done ...
The scooters were completely dismantled,
all parts sandblasted,
and all parts that were still usable were repainted/powder-coated
Then it was time to rebuild all screws, rubber wear parts, wiring harness lights and and were renewed .... The engine completely disassembled and revised with new and old parts
09.2023 was then a sr50 finished except for stickers and running in the new parts
I then traveled to your nice meeting with 4 other people from Limburg Weilburg with 3 mopeds to be seen again
was originally built up except for turn signals, paint and engine was converted to 60cc
Greetings ?
