Italian Classic Day at Squadra: A Huge Success!
On September 19, Italian Classic Day celebrated its grand premiere—and the result exceeded all expectations! Instead of the 100 visitors originally anticipated, an incredible 400-plus classic Vespas and special vehicles ultimately poured onto the grounds of Squadra Abarth in Belgium. With bright sunshine and authentic “Dolce Vita” pastries and coffee, the pure Italian spirit was in the air.
Organized in collaboration with Scooters & Coffee, the event was a real highlight for the community. Of course, we at Scooter Center couldn’t miss out on this event either!

Highlights of the Day
In addition to the hundreds of beautifully maintained scooters, there was a varied program:
- Mini-exhibition: A special Vespa showcase brought pure nostalgia to the museum.
- Book presentation: Chris Van den Boom (known from “Wild op de Wesp”) presented his latest book.
- Maintenance & Action: Mafra wowed the crowd with a live cleaning demonstration, while BEHVA and the Vespa Club Antwerp showcased their work.
- Culinary Delights & Culture: Guided tours and delicious snacks at Carlo Caffè rounded out the program.
- Goodies & Awards: The first 50 Vespa riders were surprised with a great goodie bag, and the presentation of various awards was also a highlight.
The best part of the day, however, was the incomparable atmosphere. Bringing together so many enthusiasts, collectors, and friends who share a passion for classic vehicles—that’s exactly why we embrace this lifestyle.
