This year, the Lambretta Club Modena celebrated the tenth anniversary of its annual meeting - an established event that attracts hundreds of passionate Lambrettisti from all over Italy. The tenth anniversary of the meeting was a significant milestone for the club: an event that over the years has always managed to combine a passion for the world's most beautiful two-stroke scooter with local culture and conviviality - helping to promote the Modena region in a different, but always attentive and communal way.
The date of 21 September was eagerly awaited. The first participants arrived in the morning and, after registering and collecting their goodie bags, were able to enjoy a welcome meal consisting of tigelle with cold cuts, Lambrusco to taste and delicious homemade cakes baked by the female members of the club. The wait for the traditional ride to the Modena Apennines was accompanied by a DJ set of Italian music, beat and soul by the duo Maicol and Alessia, who can now be considered the official DJs of the meeting.
To celebrate these first ten years of the club's existence, the Lambretta Club Modena wanted to return to its roots with a tribute to one of the most outstanding local products: Lambrusco. At 3 p.m. on the dot, the convoy set off behind my sidecar in the direction of Cantina Buonariva - a winery characterized by its dedication to the cultivation of indigenous grape varieties and organic farming using traditional methods such as green manuring to preserve the vitality and biodiversity of the soil.

Once at the Cantina Buonariva, the participants took part in a guided tour of the winery in small groups and learned more about the different production phases of Lambrusco - a wild grape with ancient roots that was already mentioned by Roman authors such as Virgil and Pliny the Elder. They reported on a "Vitis labrusca" that grew at the edge of the fields in Emilia. During the tour, each driver was able to taste and purchase not only the Lambrusco, but also other wines from the estate - including Trebbiano Modenese and a rare local variety of Trebbiano di Spagna.
The evening was followed by a festive gala dinner at the Hotel La Cartiera in Vignola (MO) with the now legendary tombola, where over 50 prizes were raffled off - including Lambretta spare parts, workshop tools, tires, shopping vouchers, regional specialties and, as the main prize, the coveted tool trolley with six drawers.
Once again this year, the detailed organization of the board and members of the Lambretta Club Modena - the result of months of intensive work - ensured an unforgettable event, marked by the passion and community spirit that has characterized the club for a decade. The strength of our meeting is demonstrated not only by the many sponsors who support us, but also by the loyalty of the participating clubs who attend every year and show how great the desire is to live this unique passion together - to spend an unforgettable day among old and new friends.
