Casa Lambretta kick strip sets Li family
The supply of spare parts for the Lambretta is probably better today than it has been for fifty years. The range of parts from various manufacturers is growing and becoming more and more colorful. We remember with horror the spare parts supply at the time when we started the Scooter Center in 1992. Even when the parts did fit, the shades of gray of the rubber parts in a Series 3, for example, varied from whitish yellow to anthracite. A supply of Series 1 and 2 parts was almost unthinkable.

Scootering classics: Story of Vittorio Tessera There is an outline of the history of Casa Lambretta, which began back in 1979/80. So not so long after the end of production of the dl/GP series. The parallel between Vittorio's experiences with Lambretta in the early days and those of Lambretta riders in the early nineties is particularly interesting. Where, as a minority, you had to develop a thick skin to justify the Lambretta. But we seem to be digressing... Actually, we're talking about the Casa Lambretta footboards for the Li family. Let's take a chronological approach:
Lambretta TV 175 Series 1
For the TV 175 Series 1, it's quite simple. For the top model from Innocenti, which was built around 10,000 times from 1957 to 1958, there are the

Lambretta LI Series 1
There is a difference between the 125 cc and 150 cc models of the Li Series 1. The Li 125 comes with continuous aluminum tread strips at the front and the grey plastic strips on the footboards:

Lambretta LI & TV Series 2
After over 150,000 Series 1 Lambrettas built, Series 2 is the successor. The solution for the gradation of the models by - among other things - the tread strips is retained. The TV 175 Series 2 gets the same kick plates and end pieces as the Li 150.
Lambretta LI Series 3
It's quite simple with Series 3. Here, all models get the same plastic kick strip set in gray, paired with inner aluminum strips with rubber inserts and kick strip end pieces as a finish:
Lambretta dl / GP
In the dl / GP series, apart from the color - black instead of grey - only the design of the kick strip end pieces and of course the specific lengths at the front for the other leg shield of the dl / GP change compared to series 3:
Built according to original Innocenti plans
The beauty of the Casa Lambretta parts, apart from their
excellent quality, is the fact that many parts are manufactured according to the
original Innocenti drawings. The correct assembly material is included in the scope of delivery.
Manufactured with original tools
In the case of the plastic kick plates for the Series 3, the attention to detail can go even further. They are molded by one of the original manufacturers for Innocenti using the original tools. This means that they correspond exactly to the original in every aspect. Even with regard to the ribbing on the top. This is an advantage that should not be underestimated during an accurate restoration.
