... your favorite scooter - which you have been riding for many years - starts to jerk. The gears are sticking, the carburetor is on strike, the shock absorbers are tired, the seams are rusty ... Sure, you've traveled a long way together and experienced a lot. But at some point, the time is ripe - for a thorough restoration.
We felt the same way about our online store - and our entire technical infrastructure. After more than 25 years with the same merchandise management system, our system was simply technically "through". No more support, no more updates, constant outages. And worst of all, our usual super-fast delivery to you was in danger of coming to a standstill! So we removed the side covers, loosened the screws and started from scratch. A complete rebuild was necessary - for more power, more comfort and a future-proof driving experience.
No overhaul - everything really is new
What followed was not just a simple engine overhaul - we dismantled, straightened and reinforced everything, renewed the wiring harness, made the exhaust wider and higher ... So we not only completely renewed the store, but also our entire merchandise management, logistics and shipping software. Without external agencies, but with a lot of passion - over a period of 2.5 years. Alongside our day-to-day business. We only realized what we had done to ourselves afterwards.
On April 11, 2025, we took the plunge, even though we knew the system wasn't perfect yet: the new SCK store went online.
The first test drive?
Phew, quite a few quirks, we wouldn't have thought that ourselves! As with every freshly built scooter, not everything runs like clockwork straight away. The engine starts, but sometimes it still stutters. The speed? It should be much faster! Is something stuck here?
Many functions are still missing, others still need some fine-tuning. That hurts us and we can well imagine how it feels for you. Your feedback is our most important tool: it shows us where things are still lacking and helps us to make targeted improvements. After all, this store is not a ready-bought new vehicle - it is a beloved scooter undergoing renovation, which we continue to work on together with you. That's why we continue to go full throttle for you every day - sometimes even on Sundays: with heart, know-how and passion, we bring the store onto the road for you step by step in the way you deserve - fast, stable and comfortable.
The technology is new - your data stays the same
Don't worry: even if the chassis is new - your old data is not lost. All customer accounts, orders, favorites and settings are gradually reinstalled - just like original parts during a restoration. And please don't be surprised: you will need a new password to log in to your account, and your previous customer number will also change after you log in. Unfortunately, this was unavoidable during the complete changeover.
