Of course, mopeds and mopeds were also part of this year's Open Day. Some owners told us exciting stories about their vehicles. Here we share some of these stories with you - accompanied by our picture gallery.

Piaggio Si
I bought it two years ago from a friend, with original 2000 kilometers and first paint pearl white year 1978.
The engine was rebuilt by the first owner in Italy and remained unchanged:
Cylinder Dr 63 ccm13/13 carburetor with Venturi
Gianelli exhaust Malossi Vario
I then mounted
17-inch rims front fork with springs from the Super Bravo, so that nothing bounces.
Malossi brake pads, so that the bike comes to a stop. I bought the handlebars from you at the parts market last year, they are for a Ciao but can also be ridden on the Si with a sleeve I made.
The front lampshade is a home-made one, as are the footboards. The front mudguard was lowered by 25 mm, just for looks.
Best regards

Last year ( Open Day 14.09.2024 ) I had 2.6 hp - Vmax. 56.9 km/h
This year I had 4.1 hp, but the same speed ...
So what do I learn from this ...
I need to change my gear ratio, i.e. the pulley smaller to get more speed!
Michael's Ciao
I built the Ciao a good 20 years ago for a good friend according to his wishes. He offered it to me in October last year. It hadn't run for over 10 years and was just moved from one corner to another.
That's how I got it.

Of course, 20 years ago it was just as good as it is today, only with black 4-star rims, including the front of course.
I basically took it apart once and reassembled it with completely new wearing parts, the paintwork was just polished.
Technically, almost everything has remained the same, still the
72cc Polinibut now in the
Speed Engine housingpreviously spindled original case.
With racing shaft, 13cc carburettor, Bravo gearbox, large cooler, exhaust - on Open Day
Polini Top one.
