We paid a visit to INTERMOT in Cologne. There were lots of exciting things to discover on two wheels. But one thing is absolutely clear: electrification is the new hot shit. prosimo has been winning us over with its electric classics for some time now, but we were also very impressed by the retrokit conversions on classic scooters. We also visited the impressive Amerschläger stand. And Andi also discovered his retirement home on wheels.
At the prosimo stand, Andi was inspired by Simon Hisches' electric conversions of classic Vespas. The prosimo scooters have super power under the hood, well-hidden battery packs and disc brakes - all TÜV-certified and tested by experienced racers, of course. No two-stroke smell, but with rain or sports mode. You can get all the information in the video!
Electrified classics, the 2nd generation. All the components that Retrokit uses to power its vintage Vespas are Made in Italy. And manufactured 100% in-house. Three driving modes and up to 20 hp can be found in the old Vespas, which can also be completely assembled as an individual "kit". Andi can shine with his Italian in conversation with Alex and translates for you
Now it's all about naked horsepower! Andi met Richard Speiser, the boss of Amerschläger, at the trade fair. The name is music to the ears of every tuner, because Amerschläger builds the legendary P4 test benches. We ourselves recently invested in the latest model with eddy current brake - the very device that you always have so much fun chasing top performance with at our Open Days. Watch the video to find out more about the history of the company and the development of this ultimate horsepower measuring instrument
INTERMOT in Cologne once again showed that the world of scooters is constantly on the move - whether powered by 2-stroke oil or electricity.
