That was the Scooter Center Open Day 17.05.2025

Let's go!

Saturday, May 17, 2025. 9:15 in the morning, glorious weather. Even before we had completed our Open Day set-up, the first scooter engines were already roaring on the Glessen horizon. And of course, an impressive queue formed at our P4 test stand long before the event began. This time, there were a particularly large number of modern scooters and young riders present who wanted to see in writing just how much power their vehicle has. The group of observers in front of the test stand was correspondingly large and interested.

Parts market with soundtrack

The scooter enthusiasts gradually streamed onto the site. Greeting, rummaging, looking and touching - many who were looking for long sought-after spare parts found what they were looking for at the private parts market. There were many happy faces as they carried away mudguards, rare trim strips or rear lights. DJ Rene entertained the crowd with Scooterists sounds fresh from the turntable, while also offering a few scooter parts from his stock.

Click & Collect

In the Scooter Center Store was bustling with activity: The many different Vespa and Lambretta models in our scooter showroom are always a crowd puller. But our new terminals were also eagerly used to pick up urgently needed parts on the same day.

Photo box

We had to move the test stand queue several times due to traffic, as the enthusiastic crowd of horsepower seekers blocked the entrance to the photo box. But then our photographer Sebastian Kayser was able to capture the most beautiful Vespas and Lambrettas in front of the hollow. And there really were a lot of them! You can see his great photos here and

they are currently being edited. Look forward to our blog post in which we tell you the stories behind the scooter photos.
If your scooter was also photographed, just send us an e-mail to marketing@scooter-center.de. We will then send you the photos in high resolution.

Delicious

Even though there was no barbecue this time, our two food trucks plus Udo's ice cream van (Hmm, with fresh strawberries!) were hopefully able to satisfy all of our visitors' culinary needs. While nibbling on chips or falafel, it was easy to get into conversation and all kinds of new contacts were made or reunions celebrated.

SC Stad

Our merchandise team was very busy at its stand. A big thank you to everyone who donated to the "Um halb an der Bar" association!

SC parts market

Our parts market hall was bustling with the usual crowds. Used scooter parts or B-goods at special prices sold like hot cakes. And - if necessary - the colleagues present provided expert and comprehensive advice on the product. For those who didn't feel like shopping for individual parts, a few complete, classic scooters were available for sale - riding pleasure to go, so to speak.

bgm
workshop
In the workshop, our bgm team not only discussed the new brake caliper from bgm pro, the shock absorbers or our hot tires . The new MOTO NOSTRA drop bar also aroused enthusiasm among the GTS fans. There were numerous test rides on our own GTS and many questions about possible additional equipment. Almost unnoticed by the hustle and bustle outside, our Alex chivalrously helped a lady whose Vespa had broken down with a problem. (According to witnesses, she was faster than the rest of her group after the repair)

. There's always something. Even a new piston found its way into the engine of a modern Vespa. The old one had fallen victim to a jam on the spot. But luckily our store was open, and with Click & Collect, urgently needed spare parts could be "conjured up" in no time at all.

Exhibitor

Racoon Media
was present with a number of new Lambrettas . Interested visitors to the Open Day were able to test drive the sleek new models on site to see if they liked the way they handled. This opportunity was used extensively.

Prosimo

Simon Hische, known for his electrifying Vespa conversions, showed us at the Prosimo stand how classic the future of the e-scooter can look. His smallframe Vespas are environmentally and aurally friendly, with no two-stroke oil or exhaust fumes. But with lots of intelligent accessories. Visitors to the stand were able to try them out for themselves.

Seat bench doctor

Anyone who wanted to renew their beloved but ageing seat bench to make it fit and presentable again could make an appointment with the seat bench doctor. At his stand, he gave interested parties expert advice on the options for restoring the old seat to its former glory on a Vespa or Lambretta. Smart repair, complete reupholstering or leather seat covers - everything is possible at the seat doctor.

Goldsmiths
Regine Meurer
made the two-stroke fog shine with her gold-forged jewelry. Delicate jewelry and small pendants with - of course - a Vespa appealed to the public.

Nagy Blechroller

Andreas Nagy from nagy-blechroller.de had not only brought two "racehorses" from his stable, but also his racing driver son Moritz. At his stand, there was a lot of interest in the technology in the two Vespas and in-depth fuel discussions.

Knatterköpp Knappsack

The Knatterköpp Knappsack were present with a colorful stand and a sharp selection of two-stroke mopeds - particularly noteworthy: the racing model in the Gulf look, already 10 km/h faster than all the others due to the design alone. The Knatterköpp guys had fun and so did the visitors to the stand.

Vespa Club von Deutschland
In the shade of the Vespa Club von Deutschland pavilion, people exchanged information about upcoming events and the club's activities. And, of course, they also talked shop about the technology and engine performance of their favorite motorcycle.

Parts markets

And of course a big thank you goes to all those who searched for used spare parts in the deepest corners of their garages and offered them for sale. This turns every purchase into a little treasure hunt.

And by the way, the latest news from the lost and found office:
After cleaning up the swing Vespa, we found a small pair of children's sunglasses and two health insurance cards for Helmut and Klara Busse. They are ready for collection here in the store and can be picked up between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

It was another great meeting of the big scooter family. We were delighted that so many of you visited us and we really enjoyed the day with you. The next Open Day will take place on September 27 at Scooter Center. We can hardly wait to see you and your scooters back here at the store!

See you then and all the best,

Your Scooter Center Team
