We now offer you new complete bgm brake cables for front and rear with pressed-on cable holder on the outer casing. Why did we decide to optimize the brake cables for the Lambretta? We have seen clear potential here to significantly improve the braking performance of Philipp's favorite scooter:

PROBLEM

The original factory cable often has play in the abutment, which means that it is not exactly at an angle to the cable stop. It is only pulled into position by the increased tension during the braking process. This eats up a good part of the braking performance and unnecessarily increases the working distance on the brake pedal.

SOLUTION

The BGM PRO Superstrong outer housing has a fixed pressed-on abutment for the engine block side. The cable housing is thus already properly guided in the engine's cable stop. The working travel is shortened and the response behaviour and feedback of the brake are significantly improved. BGM PRO cables comply with the Lambretta Innocenti factory specification and impress with theirhigh quality at a low price. All cables have vehicle-specific lengths and can therefore be installed directly without reworking. Particular attention has been paid to high-quality details such as double-pressed end sleeves, burr-free nipples and tinned wire ends. Installation is therefore quick and easy.

These are our BGM PRO Superstrong Lambretta front brake cables. They have a strong Ø2.5mm inner cable diameter and a permanently pressed-on cable holder on the outer housing, both of which significantly improve the braking process. Innocenti already made a similar modification in May 1966 with the last models of the DL series which were equipped with a disc brake. The cable thickness was also increased. The original cables we measured were 6 mm outside and 1.5 mm inside CABLE DETAILS BGM PRO SUPERSTRONG Outer diameter cover: Ø=7mm Inner cable diameter: Ø= 2.5mm Outer diameter cable stop/adapter: 7.5 mm NOTE The outer cover fits into most light switch housings of the Series 3 models. On very early Series 3 vehicles and Series 1 and 2 light switch housings, the outer diameter of the cable is too large to be accommodated by the light switch housing.
