What began as an insider’s tip in the multi-brand scooter scene has since become a must-attend event on the calendar and continues to grow year after year. In 2026, we headed back to the Nethen Beach Club—three days of metal, sand, two-stroke engines, music, and plenty of pure scooter fun.
Alex and I were there for the entire weekend at Scooter Center and manned our booth. And as is typical at an event like this: meeting old friends, making new connections, checking out scooters, and chatting about old bikes, new ideas, technology, tuning, and everything related to the scene.
It’s precisely this mix of all brands that makes Vesbeachi so special to me. Everything just comes together here, and you’re constantly discovering new vehicles, creative ideas, and people you might not otherwise have had a chance to talk to.
This time, we were even able to get a head start a day early. Anyone with an early-arrival ticket was allowed onto the campground as early as Thursday at 4 p.m. Of course, we didn’t want to miss out on that—so we packed our things and headed off to Nethen! Our early arrival was immediately rewarded with a relaxed BBQ. A Vesbeachi weekend really couldn’t get off to a better start.
Or could it?!
Because there was one unwelcome guest nobody had invited: the rain. It ended up tagging along with us on and off throughout the weekend. But at some point, you just take things as they come.

Speaking of the campground: As always, everything was perfectly organized here. Whether you were in a tent, van, RV, or trailer, there was plenty of space. There were also plenty of showers and restrooms, and especially given the weather, the consistently clean and tidy restroom facilities were definitely not something to be taken for granted.
On Friday morning, it was time to set up. Our Scooter Center booth finally had to be put in place, and that’s exactly when the weather got really annoying for the first time. All our gear had to be transported from the campground to the beach club. Luckily, help arrived quickly from Scootertal with an Ape. We loaded the equipment in the back, Alex and I got into the small cab up front, slammed the doors shut with a bit of force, and off we went! There definitely wasn’t much room, but somehow everything fit, and we had a blast.
Of course, there was plenty to see on the beach again: a custom show, a parts market, and vehicles from countless manufacturers. Plus, great conversations about cars, browsing for spare parts, and just having a good time. In the evening, things continued seamlessly with the Soul Nighter—it was just awesome!
Saturday morning brought the big ride out toward the North Sea coast—for many, the absolute highlight of the weekend. Afterward, things took a slightly more relaxed turn. At 2 p.m., the program featured a reading with Martin Ollmann and his book *KEIN WEG ZU WEIT *. A nice change of pace before things got significantly louder and faster again a little later at the beach rail race.
3:00 p.m.: Beach Track Race—now things are getting serious.
Last year was my first race: I went there without high expectations and ended up fighting my way all the way to the finals—finishing in second place. Julius had won. This year, one thing was clear: I wanted to be at the starting line again!
My first opponent was Erik on his Simson. Unfortunately, he suffered a mechanical failure right off the bat, so the first round was practically a gift for me. Thanks to Erik and his Simson! ;) But my run ended in the quarterfinals. Still, it was a ton of fun again, and I got to experience a few damn exciting races.
And then, of course, there was Julius… Again! :D The guy actually did it again and took home the victory in 2026 as well. That makes him a three-time Vesbeachi champion. Congratulations, Julius!
This year, Scooter Center didn’t just support Vesbeachi as a sponsor: In addition to their trophies, the winners received a limited-edition Scooter Center Vesbeachi T-shirt. This time, participants were also allowed to take their race numbers home as souvenirs.
At 8 p.m., SKARFACE from France took the stage. After sand, racing, and the smell of two-stroke engines, it was just the thing to wrap up Saturday night in style.
But eventually, this Vesbeachi weekend came to an end once again. As we were packing up, we faced the familiar routine: rain, packing up, and hauling everything back to the campground. This time, Tim’s Ape with a humped roof was on hand. It had plenty of power and got our stuff back pretty quickly.
Looking back on the weekend, it was once again exactly what Vesbeachi is all about: meeting old friends, making new connections, admiring scooters, chatting, and simply letting loose for a whole weekend with a colorful scooter scene.
Jelto and Steppo delivered once again this time around. Camping, food, restrooms, parts market, custom show, ride, reading, races, and live music: Everything was there and ran absolutely smoothly. By the end, all hell broke loose—there was dancing, laughing, partying, riding, and, of course, a cold beer or two at the bar.
Vesbeachi #6 was another absolute hit for me.
Thanks to Jelto, Steppo, and the entire team for this unforgettable weekend! Thanks to Scootertal for the Ape during setup and to Tim for his hipped-roof Ape during takedown. And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our Scooter Center booth and celebrated the weekend with us!
