Vespa Club Lausanne - An unforgettable day at Espace Amaretto

Daniele, the president of the Vespa Club Lausanne has sent us some impressions of the club's 20th anniversary celebrations. On August 30, 2025, the club celebrated a perfect Vespa get-together with almost 200 guests and Vespa clubs from Switzerland, France, Germany and Italy with tasty food, drinks and Italian music.

Vespa passion knows no weather - and no borders

August 30, 2025 will be remembered for a long time by Vespa fans who responded to the call from the Vespa Club Lausanne. Despite unstable weather in the morning, more than ten Vespa clubs gathered at the Espace Amaretto in Lausanne for an event full of friendship, passion and genuine la dolce vita. Heavy rain early in the morning did not deter the participants from arriving. On the contrary: once again, the determination and enthusiasm of the Vespa community, undeterred by the elements, was evident as they came together to indulge their passion. And the effort was rewarded: late in the morning, the sun came out and bathed the event in the best light - perfect conditions to celebrate the shared enthusiasm.

Guests from all over Europe - Vespa unites the nations

Among the many guests of honor, the Vespa Club Lausanne welcomed Paolo Daniele, President of the Vespa Club Ath - who had traveled all the way from Belgium, on his Vespa of course! His journey caused great amazement and was an inspiration for many, a living example of the adventurous and comradely spirit that has characterized the Vespa movement since its beginnings. A representative of the Vespa Club Mesagne also traveled from Apulia in the south of Italy and brought a warm, Mediterranean touch that ensured a good atmosphere. The presence of the representatives of the Vespa Club Switzerland, Christian Steger and Christoph Lüthi, also underlined the national significance of the meeting.

Italian flair, a large exhibition and a special excursion

The day's program was varied and exciting. The vintage car exhibition was particularly eye-catching: iconic models, lovingly restored, told the story of the brand's history and cult status. Each scooter had its own story - which made for many exciting conversations between collectors and fans. Another highlight was the big raffle. The main prize was a breathtaking Vespa 125 Sprint Racing Sixties - the tension was correspondingly high right up to the last draw. A prize that symbolizes the perfect combination of Piaggio tradition and modern zeitgeist. The flair of the day was unmistakably Italian: lively music, delicious Italian food and an exuberant Mediterranean atmosphere. The aroma of the specialties and the cheerful melodies created a real village square atmosphere in the Espace Amaretto.

In the afternoon, the engines were started - the joint ride took them through the Lausanne region. The route wound its way up to the Corniche, where breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the famous vineyard terraces provided a spectacular finale. A wonderful moment of cohesion, where the joy of riding merged with enthusiasm for the beauty of the landscape.

The energy of the volunteers - the key to success

An event like this would have been unthinkable without the tireless commitment of the Vespa Club Lausanne volunteers. Their energy, commitment and organizational skills were the real driving force behind this unforgettable day. From setting up the exhibition and welcoming the numerous clubs from all over Europe to preparing the food and coordinating the excursion, every detail was carried out with passion. Their contribution was often in the background, but always absolutely essential and deserves special thanks. It is thanks to them that the meeting was able to take place in such a warm and friendly atmosphere. This meeting was much more than an event - it was pure Vespa: the passion for these icons on two wheels, the friendship between clubs, the love of traveling and the simple joy of being together. The Vespa Club Lausanne would like to thank all participants - some of whom traveled long distances - for their contribution to this successful day.

August 30, 2025 at Espace Amaretto will be remembered as a special date - a day full of rain, sun, friendship, passion and solidarity, which together created an unforgettable experience.

Best regards
Daniele Preite
