In addition to the passion for Vespas from VC Rusty Helmets social commitment is also close to their hearts. The event was held under the motto "Riding a Vespa for heart's desires", as donations were collected for the association Herzenswünsche e.V.
Paolo tells us a little about this wonderful meeting.
The Vespa meeting in Butzbach on July 12 thrilled riders and visitors alike. In the morning, a corso starts over hilly, winding roads in the surrounding area. Drone footage shows the Vespa pilots impressively winding their way through the serpentines like a long queue. Even guests from up to 300 kilometers away - including from Hanover and Stuttgart - take part. Each driver receives souvenir photos at several photo points, resulting in a large number of impressive photos of the ride.In the early afternoon, the market square in Butzbach fills up with people and Vespas: over 150 riders and hundreds of visitors celebrate together. Live Italian music creates a southern flair, while the raffle provides fun and excitement.
The most important thing: 1,000 euros are raised for the association Herzenswünsche e.V. an amount that, together with a further €9,000 raised by companies and private donors, will fulfill the special wishes of seriously ill children.
The Rusty Helmets Vespa Club is continuing its commitment: the next meeting is already scheduled for September 7, 2025 in Haiger, again in conjunction with a fundraising campaign for the Herzenswünsche association from Münster.
Special thanks go to the Scooter Center. The red scarves donated at the end of the event dominate the marketplace - Scooter-Center red shines everywhere and underlines the strong cohesion of the community.
