Vespa Cosa clutch upgrade
SOLID PAD CARRIER
The pads use an aluminum carrier, the lugs of which have a large contact surface for the clutch basket. This makes the pads very stable over the long term. The large contact surface completely eliminates the slow shearing of the tabs that often occurs with conventional linings with a steel carrier. The aluminum also makes the clutch more thermally resilient. This is a great advantage in extreme situations (e.g. starting off with a heavy load on a steep mountain pass), but also offers a reassuring reserve in everyday use. The width of the plates is manufactured to fit exactly, which means that the pads lie in the basket with virtually no play.
DURABLE AND GRIPY PAD MATERIAL
The same
high-quality sintered material is used for the clutch plates of the bgm PRO TOURING aluminum pads as for the CR80 racing pads. However, due to the larger contact surface in the TOURING version, clutch engagement is softer and less aggressive. The large contact surface
also improves durability.
FULLY COMPATIBLE
The bgm PRO TOURING aluminum clutch facings are
designed as a
1:1 replacement for conventional Cosa2 clutch facings. They harmonize perfectly with the standard steel discs. The thickness of the lining package corresponds to that of the original, which means that no shims or spacers need to be used. The pads fit all standard clutches on Vespa Cosa2 models, PX125-200 models from 1998 onwards and all vehicles retrofitted with a Cosa2 clutch. The linings are also compatible with clutches/clutch baskets based on Cosa2 technology, e.g. clutch -SC-, MMW, Scooter&Service or Ultrastrong.

NOT SUITABLE
The linings are not suitable for clutches/baskets that were specially manufactured to accommodate the CR80 clutch linings, e.g. BGM PRO Superstrong 2.0 CR80, ONKEL MIKE 'DDOG' CNC or similar (plate width CR80 =16mm)SCOPE OF DELIVERY
The set contains:
- 1x clutch cover plate (single-sided facing)
- 3x clutch friction disks (facing on both sides)
Sufficient for a Cosa2 clutch.
