My goal: To see one of Asia's most famous Vespa and Lambretta events with my own eyes - the Northern Scooter Runwhich the Scooter Center also supported as a sponsor.

Lambretta magic at our partner Toon
There are Lambrettas - and then there's this TV175. Our bgm partner in Thailand: LTL Lambretta ShopToon, prepared everything extremely professionally. Not only did I get to see the magical place where all the mechanics take place, but I also got to admire his incredible collection. Toon not only collects Lambrettas, but also historical advertisements and all kinds of curiosities relating to scooters.
The absolute highlight, however, was the spectacular Lambretta that I was allowed to ride myself. I had only ridden a Lambretta once before in my life - for a whole two kilometers. But this time the story was different: It was to be a journey of 700 kilometers.
After two days on Thai highways, in the left lane, without mirrors and surrounded by motorcyclists overtaking from all sides, all I can say after 700 kilometers is: I'm in love. This Lambretta ran absolutely perfectly. No wonder, because it is equipped with all bgm- and Casa performance -components that you could wish for. What's more, its unique paintwork makes it a real eye-catcher.
And I rode with a wonderful tour group, the "70 Club and friends", surrounded by nice people. They seemed to make new friends everywhere. They looked after me, accompanied me and waited for me. Although we were unable to share experiences due to language barriers, they all warmly welcomed me into their group. Thank you so much, you were the best part of the trip!
The big day: Northern Scooter Run
The big day had finally arrived. The stands were set up early in the morning, even though the event didn't officially start until relatively late at 5pm.
I was one of the first on site. With my camera over my shoulder, I started recording everything that caught my attention - which was quite a lot. I was surprised at how many highly customized Modern Vespas there were, but little by little the classics arrived too.
It was a great reunion: I met many of the retailers that Ulf had already visited and many other familiar faces from the scene, including well-known influencers Leo_oi from Vespisti Club Thailand
And of course the scooters that were there are incomparable.
Conclusion
The scooter community is just great, no matter where you are in the world. I'm taking home not only the memory of a fantastic event, but also the contacts with many scooter riders I met there and who I can now call my friends. And special thanks to the organizers who gave us such a warm welcome.
