Quattrini M244 Kingwelle - the Super-Tourer in the first "Plug & Play" stage M244_1
This is part 2 of this
Quattrini M244 series. In this first stage of construction, M244_1, we have set up the M244 on
our engine without any further modifications, using only spacers on the cylinder head and cylinder base. We have entered the resulting control angles in the list for the test plan. This setup is, in terms of design, in the midfield of the expansion stages.
TEST POLINI BOX
First, we send the all-purpose weapon from
Polini into the race.

The maximum values are 30.5 hp at 6500 rpm and 34.4 Nm at 5900 rpm. Even at 9500 rpm, 22 hp are still available at the rear wheel. This constellation already calls for a longer primary gear ratio.
TEST FALKR ELRON
The next test subject comes from
FalkR and goes by the name of
Elron.

genuine resonance exhaust. However, the tide
only turns in favor of the Elron
above 6500 rpm. In the range before 6500 rpm, the Polini box has the edge here. After passing the 6500 rpm mark, the Elron makes significant gains and is ahead of the Polini box until the end of the rev range above 10500 rpm.
TEST JL-PERFORMANCE
Another old acquaintance is the
JL-Performance.

The JL does not cope quite as well as the Elron with the first construction stage of the engine. However, with 31 hp at 8200 rpm, this is already something like suffering at a high level. The rather smooth start and good performance of 16 hp at 4000 rpm make the JL a very rideable exhaust with good acceleration in reso optics.
TEST NEWLINE SCOOTER & SERVICE
The
Newline exhaust from Scooter & Service is available in our
Scooter Center shop.
Store available.

Newline from
Scooter and Service in Hamburg delivers its maximum power of 32 hp at 6300 rpm. Even if the playing field doesn't quite match the Newline, which would like to see a little more steering angle, the handcrafted bike from Hamburg delivers an impressive 36 Nm at just 6000 rpm. In this expansion stage, the torque tier
TEST POSCH PERFORMANCE NESSIE
As the first representative of the "performance" department, we let the Nessie from Posch Performance work on the M244.
Test bench diagram NESSIE - POSCH exhaust on Quattrini as PDF: M244_1_POSCH_NESSIEAll is well with the Nessie until shortly before 6500 rpm. After that, the curve takes a course that suggests that the Nessie would like to see significantly more exhaust angle. Nevertheless, with 34.8Nm at approx. 6000 rpm, the Nessie can already be counted among the significantly high-torque systems.
TEST POSCH PERFORMANCE RACING RESI
Of course, we also tested the Racing Resi from Posch Performance.
Test bench diagram RACING RESI- POSCH exhaust on Quattrini as PDF: M244_1_POSCH_RAC_RESIThe Racing Resi from the same manufacturer runs very similarly to the Nessie and also requires more ventilation over longer control angles. But with almost 35 Nm at 6100 rpm, the Resi is also well up there in the league of absolute torque beasts.
TEST LAKERS KINGWELLE
The Lakers, as a thoroughbred racing exhaust, is well in the feed despite the high power and speeds to be expected with the low steering angles.
Test bench diagram KINGWELLE LAKERS exhaust on Quattrini as PDF: M244_1_LAKERSWith almost 36 hp at 7700 rpm, it is the front runner in terms of performance at this stage of development. In the later stages of development, when higher control angles and a wider exhaust come into play, this exhaust can probably perform even better.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the second stage...
