The BGM PRO Silk Liner Cable Set is designed for Vespa PK XL2 models and technically related PK HP, FL, and FL2 vehicles. This cable set is designed for PK-XL2-specific frame and handlebar configurations. On the PK XL2 in particular, the Bowden cables run differently than on earlier PK S or PK XL1 models. Vehicle-specific outer casings simplify installation because the lengths are tailored to the PK XL2 cable routing.
This version is supplied without a shift cable. This is useful if the shift cable is to be replaced separately, has already been replaced, or is intentionally being combined with a different model. For a complete overhaul of the control cables, the appropriate PK-XL2 shift cable should be included in the order.
The vehicle compatibility refers to models similar to the PK-XL2 with corresponding cable routing. For modified vehicles, automatic models, or vehicles with different handlebars, please verify before ordering whether the cable routing and control levers are compatible with the XL2 version.

For older PK S and PK XL1 models, a different cable set is often recommended. The decisive factors are the handlebar design, choke operation, and the routing of the outer casings.
The high-performance PE inner liner reduces friction between the inner cable and the outer jacket. This makes the throttle, clutch, and brake easier to operate and provides better control. Especially in the tight handlebar area of the PK XL2, clean, low-friction cable routing is helpful because the cables operate within tight bends there.
The outer casings are designed specifically for each vehicle and feature high flexural rigidity. This allows them to be routed through the frame in a controlled manner without kinking immediately upon installation. For a clean result, old cables should be completely removed, the original cable routes should be followed, and sharp kinks should be avoided.
The shift cable is not included in the set. If you want to overhaul the entire drivetrain, you should also order the appropriate shift cable for the Vespa PK XL2. For automatic models, you must check in advance which cables are actually required for the vehicle.
This cable kit is not intended as a universal PK kit. PK S, PK XL1, PK Automatic, and modified vehicles may have different cable lengths, different choke controls, or different handlebar components. Especially with non-original handlebars and modifications, the existing cable routing should be compared with the PK-XL2 configuration.
The BGM PRO Silk Liner cable set is a practical solution for Vespa PK XL2 riders who want to achieve smooth and precisely defined operation of the throttle, clutch, and brake. The combination of a PE inner liner, stainless steel inner cables, tin-plated ends, and vehicle-specific lengths complements a technical overhaul of the PK-XL2 control cables well.
