SC-Classics Photo Booth Open House, Sept. 2026

Souls of Sheet Metal and Chrome: Highlights from Our Photo Booth at Open Day

Our Open Day last September was yet another testament to just how vibrant and passionate the scooter community is. A real highlight of the day was our photo booth, which acted like a magnet, drawing in countless beautiful classic Vespas and Lambrettas. Alongside the many smiling faces, it was above all the scooters themselves that told their own fascinating stories—ranging from decades of faithful service to collector’s items from bygone eras, painstakingly restored with endless patience.

Cheesus Crust by Michael

My 1983 P200E sat in my parents’ garage for years as a completely dilapidated frame.

Then, in 2020, during the pandemic, I patched up everything that needed fixing and put it back together using all the spare parts I still had. A real Frankenstein. The frame was completely sanded down with a satin sander and sealed with clear coat. I also tried to express myself artistically: for example, I painted the “Cheesus Crust” and the pizza with acrylic markers and sealed them with clear coat as well. There’s still a lot more to come here.
I deliberately left the rear end—which my younger self had welded back then—exactly as it is. A Vespa full of flaws and dents, but technically almost perfect by now.
A VMC Super G2.0 with an LML diaphragm housing and a PX200 transmission ensures reliable and sufficient power.
