AT HALF AT THE BAR - Scooter rider support
" UM HALB AN

DER BAR

" is an organization of scooter riders for scooter riders and their families. In the 80s, a youth movement spilled over from England to Germany, which reached its peak in the 90s. "Mods", "Scooterboys" or "Scooterists" in general meet up with their Vespa and Lambretta scooters at scooter meets, the Scooter Runs. Usually more or less organized in scooter clubs or on their own, these international runs are best tackled on a scooter, with Northern Soul and Ska music and partying into the morning at the all-nighters. During the day, people pass the time repairing their mostly tuned scooters, taking part in the Corso and having fun or embarrassing themselves at the Fungames. At the custom show, the best vehicles are awarded prizes in various categories. During this very intense time, intense friendships developed among the scooterists and they were very well networked internationally. These scooter meetings still exist today, albeit on a somewhat smaller scale, and the wild youngsters are now often more or less wild family men. Modern means of communication and social media make contact much easier. Today, good and bad news is spread quickly, including the horror story of Markus R. leaving behind his wife and newborn child in a fatal wildlife accident on his Vespa in 2015. The scooter scene spontaneously organized a fundraiser for his wife and daughter. Vespa and Lambretta friends helped quickly and unbureaucratically - a tragedy that can suddenly strike anyone through no fault of their own. In the course of time, several more scooter riders had accidents. Some will never again be "AT THE BAR"... A well-known slogan in the scooter scene that leaves an exact time open to arrive at a scooter run or niter and meet up with friends and like-minded people on the spot. In the boom of this youth movement, the Scooter Center also emerged from this scene in 1992. Now one of the world's oldest and largest "scooter stores". Here, scooter riders can get everything they need. ALL YOU NEED - The portfolio ranges from spare parts, tuning, accessories, tires, tools, helmets and literature to fan articles / merchandise.

Northern Soul Fist - Symbol of the Northern Soul Scene

The Black Fist has its origins in the USA, as a symbol of the resistance of the African-American population during the independence movement of the 60's and 70's. Black gloves were also worn by Northern Soul dancers in the 70's during their acrobatic moves on the dance floor. Black leather gloves for scootering were also very popular with the mods. So it became a distinguishing mark for Northern Soul events and a symbol of the scene. It quickly adorned posters and flyers for events as well as patches on the bags and jackets of followers of this youth movement. To this day, it is a symbol for Northern Soul lovers and is therefore also very popular among scooter riders

Everell has taken on "UM HALB AN DER BAR" and organizes the association with heart and soul. He is delighted about the partnership with the Scooter Center: "The high-visibility vests are great, as the scooter rider can increase his visibility and thus his safety in road traffic very easily and cheaply." https://www.scooter-center.com/de/um-halb-an-der-bar/
